Anyone have advice for repairing springs on a bench seat? Some of the rods are broken so it sags, I was thinking about dis***embling it and move the broken parts to the center or spread them evenly across the bench. 3 of the 10 rods are broken. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Yeah, but evidently he doesn't. There's an old thread here about fixing your seat that may help. Start on post nine.

Sometimes, the best way to fix something is to replace it with something else, in better condition or, as has been said already, use another piece for parts. You might get out your tape measure and search for a late model unit the same width. I had a '54 Sedan Delivery that had been a flower car for a funeral home. Someone replaced the front seat with one out of a Cadillac he****. It fit exactly and was covered in red leather and was the most comfortable seat I have ever ridden on. I know about tight money; but thinking out of the box is what those of us who mess with old cars are known for. I'm adding these ideas as suggestions only, as you obviously are following your own path. No matter the outcome, I wish you luck. Carl
I know that replacement springs and supports are available through upholstery supply vendors. Try a search on supplies and i think you ill find the source upholsterers use. The guy up here gets them but he is on vacation so I'll ask him about it when he gets back if you don't have any luck...Joe
Thanks guys, I started this thread but didn't subscribe ha found a bench on Craigslist that's in decent shape, I'll reupholster it in the future. Instagram @kylemontoya
I tore my seat springs out and used some dense foam for seats from an upholstery shop... way more comfortable in my opinion and worth the extra money
