ok ok so its not a CAR but a car goes IN it........

first time ever doing anything like this. I bought my first home on 10/1 and this was my first project. did everything myself, electrical, reinforcing, sheetrocking, built the loft, etc. with some help from my father and girlfriend with sanding, painting.

its not much and probably doesnt mean much to you guys..but its my first ever garage so im making the best out of it.

still have a lot to do, build a nice workbench to replace that shelf and some minor things.

    has nice heat too.. :)

****s working with 50+ year old wood....warped and hard enough to break drill bits

    after

Looks good. I am currently rebuilding every thing but my garage. Oh well some day. The was came out smooth so the wood couldnt have been warped that bad.

man, thats reallll nice. ive been wanting to do the same thing, sheetrock my walls.

one question though, do you feel like you lost a lot of space after you sheetrocked it? i know its just visual, as i dont really use the area between studs for storage, but im skared it will depress me!

fridge is staying as it is....i like it better that way :) if it wasnt in as good shape as it was in, i would absolutely paint it and stripe it. but i really like it that way.

as for loosing space by putting up the sheetrock...na...because I painted it white it actually feels much bigger. and with the loft up on top that i didnt have before i have much more space. all i want is space for the car a bike and to build a bike. so im good....

im building (or going to attempt to) a addition behind the garage for my lawn equipment, propane tank and compressor storage. i need to get someone in cad and consutruction experience to build it out as im no architect/construction guy.

    thanks for the compliments.

Forget the fridge, look at the size of the red beer storage unit next to it. you can get a lot of beer and ice in that monster.

you did good, now its time to decorate the walls with parts, art and what ever else you have laying around....

It is great havin' your own 'space'. I will post pics of mine soon. The scariest thing about the damn fridge, is the fact it is EMPTY. Now THAT is depressing.
