Ok , it's been awhile since I removed original harness from my 54 Chevy 2 dr. Sedan , I can't remember when running wires for headlight switch to rear of car , does wiring go thru "A" pillar & out hole above door , run along drivers side then back down thru hole above quarter window & into trunk or does it go thru "A" pillar & run thru boxed channel above drivers door & go all the way to trunk ??? Just don't want it to affect headliner installation , anyone know or remember how they ran these wires. ?? Headlight switch to rear lights ???
Please , someone has to know how this wiring runs in the roof or did everyone go under the carpet??? Maybe that's what needs to be done?
Wow ,I'm getting the feelin , I need to live n learn ,? Either that or no headliners we're installed ??? See what haps !? , can only learn from it .
My original harness ran thru the A pillar and above the door, then back down thru the area by the rear quarter window and into the trunk. Thats on a 52 but I'm guessing they were the same. I ran the new wires the same way as I didn't want them on the floor.
It is a lot easier to access later if you put it under the carpet and pad. Lay it in the bottom next to the hump and it will not show .
Ok , mine also went up " A" pillar ,BUT do the wires go ABOVE or THRU the boxed channel above drivers side door ?? ( know what I mean, there is a boxed channel above drivers door on Bel Air sedan ) , thanks
I'd steer clear of the boxed channel for access reasons. And down near rear window on '50 but as stated above, should be same
