Hello everyone, I ran into another setback in my restoration project.* I have a carter 4 barrel carb with a broken mount plate.* One ear is broke off.* I ordered a rebuild kit and the local welding shop wasn't able to keep a weld to stick.* So I have a new kit but a uselesa carb.* Doea anyone know where I could just buy a bottom plate or anyone who's parting one out? Thanks

You're going to have to be a lot more specific about what you have to get any real help. Good Luck.:)

I've run into rebuild parts availability problems on a carter, chevy 1965 application. Had to buy NOS parts, spendy, only lasted one summer before failing. Ended up putting an edelbrock on, hope you have better luck.

The carb shop won't sell me just a throttle body. Anyone else have one they could sell me? I hate to buy a new carburetor just because of a broke ear....

Send me a picture of the base and the broken ear. I have old methods some modern shops never use. Maybe I can repair your old one.
