I was visiting with my buddy who had gone hunting this weekend (bagged a 12 pointer he said), well long story short his Grandmother's land has a little tin on it and a Stude pickup was in the mix. Just thought how cool tat was and wondered how many of ya have one? They are so damn ugly, how could'nt they be cool?

  3. My father-in-law had one in his field, along with a 5-window Chevy or GMC. The Stude was in pretty good shape, the Chevy was just a cab and frame. When he moved he had a scrap guy come and haul them off. I couldn't believe it. He said "If you fixed up that Studebaker, all you'd have is an ugly truck." I said, "Not if *I* fixed it up!" Some people amaze me.

I've been draggin this studebaker around the country for years. (hope the attachment works)

But It never seems to make it to the top of my to do list.

I have a 429CJ that is earmarked for the stude but I'm currently doing a blown flatty AV8 as well as a 31 5 window to original.

The stude has been pushed back more than a few times as other projects came along.

    Someday...............

I have a 50 1/2 ton. They're fun trucks. I'm gonna do some weird things with the 6 on this one.

I'll have to get some pics tonight.

  10. My 46. If someone would like to photo chop the 1&1/2" that's taped off on the cab shot, it would be much appreciated. I think were going to cut it today!

No pic's but I know a guy that is designing a kit for adapting a Ford areostar front clip. Stude trucks are cool. I'm finishing a 46' Hudson pick up this week.

I really dig on those Hudson trucks too. Terraplaners are beautiful, just like 60"s buddy's 37 Stude. I hope that the one my buddy found is a late 30's Stude too.

The early to middle 50's studes make really nice rods,There's a guy here on the Hamb(toymount i think) is building up a 50 stude maybe he'll post some pics. I think their styling was ahead of their time. I sure would like to build one someday. Gregg

Don't know if you've been to the Stray Kat 500, this is one of my favorite kut studes. The frontend is a piece of work. It has been cut so many times but still has a stock look. I'm not in love with the color but it has some kool body lines. I would like to see the truck painted different color, Wide shites with some wide smooties on the rear. This is one of the trucks that I would like to own someday.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Tinbender, is your firewall recessed? If it is, could you snap a couple shots of it while the front end is off? Curious as to how people have done it.
