so far everyone likes the whitewalls ..and ****can the top idea..... currently the blackwalls are on it
I have to say that it looks better without the big whites...I have seen way too many of them of late. I have always thought that big whites were for cruisers, and solid black was for hot rods. Whats the point of drawing more attention to a fenderless cars tires?they're right there! you can see the whole thing clearly!look at the rest of the car! on a custom, however its more like look at the Tires! you can barely see 'em! if they were all black you would almost lose them in the fenderwell! it's so low the back tire looks like a smiley face, if you can see it at all! nice truck, by the way.I like the color alot. shiny is good. and yeah, ******* is mo'betta.
yep,yep and yep I like both blackwalls and whitewalls....but a white or ivory top could/would be *****'in.
My thoughts exactly. Whitewalls were for the kids woh could afford 'em, blackwalls were for the guys who couldn't....your truck's got paint...put some WWW's on it....
The truck looks good! I`m with the custom look, wide whites, white top, white pleated bed cover. Would offer the best complement to the blue. FWIW
Right on! love the whitewalls. Top not so hot. Would look a lot better with a white top. White bed cover would seal the deal
Whitewalls on the left side Blackwalls on the right. Enter from the side that suits you on that day. White top and bed cover. I dig the color, you picked that dincha? Please yourownself with the tires too.
leave the black walls white walls have become to pretend for me unless you are going the whole mile with a tuck n roll white top, bed cover.
My 2 cents worth on this one; Have the wheels painted the same as the body, then mount the whitewalls, THEN.....narrow trim rings & hubcaps (not wheelcovers) Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
thanks for all the input guys..........seems most of you pretty much have the same thoughts that i have about it...... when i started this project i was thinking mid sixties theme. as far as the interior i have nothing yet ( gotta learn how to sew first (****!)) i was thinking either white tuck-n-roll or very light grey. anyway here is with a white top.....
You have to suit yourself....... But a top is nice. It makes it a lot more driveable. I have not had the top off my 32 Roadster in over a year. And with the colder weather coming...it is NOT coming off now...at least until spring Even without windows, the top cuts down on the wind. This photo was taken at the Daytona Turkey Day run....about 5 years ago. This year is the first year I have missed in 20 years. The top makes driving a open car a lot better.......even in the cooler weather.
