    A little light reading for Thanksgiving day. Takes you back to the lakes.. it's 1946 and the Hop-ups are running. Not a gook wagon in sight.

    Scanned from a June 1946 'Ford Times'. Interestingly, the term 'Hot Rod' describes the cars, but the owners are 'Hop-ups'.

    I agree- thanx so much for posting this. Its really great reading what was said & thought about our rodding roots back in the early days. The lingo list was pretty cool, too.
