I bought this **** at Wal-Mart, and it took a week and a half to get out of my hair!! Pomp looked pretty good, but my pillow looked like my garage floor!

I prefer ROYAL CROWN (can also be found at Wally~World)

bad ***! I didn't know this site existed. 'tis true, it does make the pillow sticky but it's the best stuff when you got the thick hair. I tried to stop using it a while back and man I started jone-zin' hard core. My wife hated to see me go back but man there's nothin' better. In the past few years, I've started to keep my empty cans, not sure why, I'm a sort of maniac I s'pose....thanks for the web site tip Pete!

    Love the Murrays.

That's funny Hamilton I started collecting mine about a year ago. Wow amazing how much of that **** I put in my hair!

Sleep with a stocking cap on=no greasy pillows!

Crew pomade removing shampoo will help remove it. It takes me a good week to fully remove it from my hair however just using regular shampoo and conditioner.

Does anybody use the Tres Flores? It is a lot like Royal Crown but smells damn good.

A Buddy of mine gave me a tin of Sandahl's control wax, regular style. Smells pretty good and didn't wash out to hard.
Didn't even feel all that greeezy, but then maybe i'm not using enough... [IMG]

Murray's "Superior" is way too thick, like candle wax. It screws up the pillows and pulls out hair if you try to comb it through the next day. It seems impervious to shampoo.

I preffer Murray's "Exelento" grade pomade. That stuff has a perfect medium consistency.

I know what Hamilton is talking about, with the jone-zin for pomade. I ran out and can't find anything but the Superior grade stuff. I've got a buddy who is supposed to be picking me up a case of Exelento over the holiday. I feel like a pomade junkie and this cat is my drug connection.

FYI: Murray's is a local operation. I've heard throught the g****vine that they are toying around with some "cooler" graphics for the exteriors of thier tins (For a more Kustom Kulture/traditional-themed look).

OK, you ever see those big, tall, greezy hair styles that the cool cats are sportin'? Well pomade is what is generally used to get the greezy look while also maintaining height. Still not picturing it? Check out a pic. of early Elvis.

Murray's, Daks, Tres Flores, and American Greaser Supply are a few brands.

God I feel like a *** for posting this stuff. Oh well.

Yeah Murray's regular is a *****, but I love it, because I've got thick uncontrallable hair.

Secret, my African-American brothers. Olive oil takes out Murray's. You have to shampoo after the olive oil phase (unless you want Guido and Mario sniffing around) and the candlewax **** comes right out.

I used some Islamic pomade today, no I'm not having you on.
It had these lumpy bits in it that smoothed out good, but the smell was just a tad overpowering. It worked great though.

Murray's is tough stuff and not bad. I use a combo of Royal Crown and Dax blended. Heat 'em (in the can ya ****) till they melt, combine contens and serve.
I keep mine in an old kitchen cannister that was once used for grease drippings. It looks cool and people are always [IMG]

Question why is this still here and the pompador how to thread was deleted within hours? This makes no sense to me. Maybe it's because this thread starter has more posts.

Royal Crown's always worked for me... haven't tried Murray's yet. Anyone know where you can get Black and White on the net for a decent price?

I guess it's kinda funny to hear a dude with the name of a bald guy asking about hair products..

just wanted to add my gay *** 2cents. put a t-shirt over your pillow and put it in the laundry when it's stickey (from the pomade or ***** after being under your girl's hips while doin' it doggie style) instead of a pillow case. works for me! stevo
