CAN THIS BE MOVED TO MAIN BOARD ROCKY- IM TOO LAZY TA TYPE IT AGAIN!!!!!HA....

I personally am not looking for any dual quads or tripower for ANYTHING- as I have had my quota of their characteristics and want no more......
I have observed that they are getting so damned high in value that maybe a hairbrained scheme to make ones own multi carb setup, would now be a viable point to consider.....[.BY THE WAY I HEREBY AFFIRM THAT I HOLD ALL RIGHTS TO THIS REVOLUTIONARY "INVENTION"]....

Today- while I was doin' a repair on the sliding doors at my storage garage -I drifted away and got ta thinking......[thats usually bad]....

Could it be Built Along the lines of SAMIAM'S "SamORam" [thats A 2x2 for the newbies]-why couldn't an aspiring hot rodder make two fours or a tri power as a modification to/and starting with a donor 4 BBL stock or aluminum hi rise type manifold?

Now I am not suggesting the cutting the top out like he did,and modifying and welding a new multi carb top in at all!

What I am suggesting is making a bolt on adapter or addition to the existing PLENUM....
It would probaly be the best looking as a 3 deuce -but a 2x4 would probably be possible as well.

Im saying about 1-1/2" tall [by however long it needs ta be] for a size....

Starting with a flat 3/8"-1/2"thick peice of Aluminum sheet stock as the base, one could drill that to bolt to the stock or aftermarket carb bolt holes with counersunk bolts.....Then do some "diegrinder-FLOW work to "flow the ports into the 4 openings a little better.......

Then the sides. could be sawed out of thicker stock with a bandsaw or even cut with a plasma etc....
Id think it ought to have some shape such as flowing curves around below carb bases-/corners rounded gracefully- rather than a square box ugly *** deal.
this would be the sides which would then be capped by another matching1/2" thick sheet top with the ports drilled and carb bolts holes threaded into that..

The top would then be attached with countersunk bolts coming from the bottom UP thru the two lower sections and into threads in the top itself..... figuring how to "***emble" the aforementioned parts seems to be a problem to me...think about it. there will come an answer Im sure!
The edges of the ***embled PLENUM could then be block sanded and shot blasted to conceal the better part of any of the "show" lines- right?
would this result in a major obstruction of airflow?
Or would it result in a Tuned Port effect as a result of the "lengthened" "runners"??????
it would in all probability be a decent looking "manifold"- as the part of the DONOR manifold that would give it up- would be for the most part down and under or covered fairly well.....
You may now tell me why this is a silly idea ,please....now to start you on the right mindset for this- the earth is not flat and man CAN fly.

  4. Ray -I have never had any success with copy and paste, the other thing you mentioned is even more foreign to me!

    I don't have a clue what browser I have....
SO......is anyone stepping up to say whether this idea would RUN orNOT- or is it not a workable idea, from a intake flow/or breathing standpoint?
    Whats your opinion guys?

GREAT IDEA!!!!! Well, Vintage Speed actually sells a cast 2x4 adapter with stromberg 3 bolt base carb plate! to run 2 strombergs in a row.

However., make your own and its always better!!
