Are you using the stock gas tank? It almost looks like the fuel shutoff valve and gas line are still in place in the first picture, but i can't see a gas cap, so maybe not.

I think you have done an excellent job on the proportions and stance. I love it! Did you use s spcer shim between the flat-bottomed Model A body and the curved dish rails?

Well done "A" hot rod!. Maybe change your name to Big Clean! and the flathead heads above your garage door is cool.

Also, the indent on the passenger side firewall? Can't make it out.

You guys are definently paying attention!!!! When I originally got the body I wondered what the deal was with the big indentation in the firewall. I originally planned to fill it because it looked unbalanced and weird....that was until I did a little research. What I came to find out, was that indentation was used as a fuel shutoff location and it was only in place on the firewall in late '31 from Oct.-Dec. Discovering the rareity of the indentation I left it alone.

Next, my friend Eric found the original brass styled fuel shutoff piece and mounted it. Although the gas tank is no longer in the cowl but in the truck in an upright baffled tank I still managed to make it a functional piece. Fuel lines still run from the trunk, up through the shutoff valve on the firewall and to the fuel block.......... So that's the deal with that.

Body shims were only utilized in 2 locations....underneath the door area on opposing frame rails. With the Gary dagle frame I believe I wasn't required to use the body blocks but I felt there was a little sag in the middle of the body so I used my MAC body block kit I had lying around. Now the doos close and latch like a new BMW....that is with the assistance of some new bear claw latches.....definently a must have!!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a Great ThanksGiving and thanks for your continued intrest in my '31 coupe.

HOME RUN!!!!!, Outta the park!!! Damn good looking car. I love the color, we've had enough flat black. I'm predicting we will see a lok more cars that are "finished" (color, upholstery, details), starting in the not too distant future. It's about time I want to get bored with a new trend. :)
