Have no idea of it's origin, but I know I could sure use one for the coupe! Is somebody making those?
We didn't make it.....The tag say's Webber, circa 1949 or so... I'm not sure who made it.....I'll find out more, and if he is making more.....
Very cool. A few sheets of metal, a few thousand rivets, and in a few hours, you too can have forearms of steel! Just rivet these suckers together by hand!!
Possibly Hughes 269 Helicopter front seat , I got a bent & Busted one here kinda looks the same but only Different Nice find
There is still a company called Weber that makes aircraft seats. One "B" instead of two though... http://www.weberair.com/homeB.html
Did you just say patterns--as in you know someone who can make seats like these? Gimmie a call at crushproof tomorrow if so. Wee man needs a christmas present and something similar would be sweet. we are in the Hamb o'Dex and in the book under crushproof.
Really!!!???? I'd like to see that! For real though, this was just made this year, by a cat that makes "normal" bomber seats....Had a customer call and ask if I thought it was a good idea, and I said, "well hell yes it's a good Idea!"...so he had it made. I believe it was hand riveted together, something about carpel tunnel and never wanting to make another one...... It will be going in a roadster ('32 of course).. come to detroit in March and take a look
i came across these on that other site and remembered this post, these aint the exact same ones shown in the post, but the seats are in the same garage as the one shown in the post... item : 4597591339 item : 4597603669
