  3. a buddy of mine has, he used 567 chevy front mounts and bolted them to the merc crossmember with rubber body mounts or hockey pucks betweem them and the frame.it fit really nice in the engine bay.

The "how do I stick a Chebby in _____" crap is getting way out of hand. Watching Speed channel the other day some dipshit put a 350/700r4 in a 1930 BENTLEY. ??!?!?!!?!?!

I swear I'm gonna make a post on how to stuff a Shivvy motor up someone's ass.

If you HAVE to have a smallblock in the Merc, keep it in the family. SBF's are plentiful, nearly as bad as a stinkin' SBC. Thank the 5.0 Mustang crowd. Speed parts as easily obtainable for Ford as a Chev, thanks to same crowd, and price difference is marginal at best.

I swear to the Lord Above that VonDad's 52 Chevy is going to be Ford powered. About time the tables are turned.

The tables are going to be turned in my garage as my 37 chevy p/u will get a smallblock ford when it is redone, the 235 and original driveline are a joke and all the other vehicles I own are fords so the chevy will be ford powered unless I can find a 401/425 nailhead and turbo 400 real cheap that runs. a 1987-up Lincoln Town Car comes with the frame mounts you need, you just have to make minor adjustments to your chassis/floor:
