Could someone help me out? I would like to get this photo chopped and the hump taken off (make it a slant back). Probably looking at a 2 1/2 inch chop.

Oh yes and lower it please.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just need a vision to get motivated.

Anyone else help me out? Would like to slice the hump off rather than add to it.

    What's wrong with the hump?
I don't know why, but it makes me think of the Offspring song "Hit That"
    Maybe calling it a HUMP.........

(You know you wanna hit that..)

There was an article a couple years ago in one of the Buckaroo rags (Street Rod Builder, I think) that showed how my dad flat-backed a 37 Chevy sedan.

Chevy did actually produce a handful of flatbacks in 37. I've only seen two that I can remember... one of them gave up a Muncie 4-speed that is now in my 52. The "real" flatbacks didn't have a trunk opening. You just flipped up the back seat to get to what little trunk space there was.

More food for thought... no chop, leave the hump, add skirts and sombreros, wider whites, drop the tail, shave, lower the headlights, and pull in the bumpers... all in a weekend.

the changes: wedged the hood down a bit, chopped the roof, shaved a lot of doodads, sectioned a little bit out of the middle to make it lower, extended the front fender to be more swooping, and of course, lowered...

Thats pretty cool, I love the 37-38 Mopars too. I am liking the way this photochop thread turned out. I am actually leaning towards not taking the hump off for now anyway. Hell I started out wanting to go show style rod, billet and bright paint, now I am hell bent on doing 50's flavor - black with wide white walls, lowered and chopped. You guys did great work to give me a good look at what's possible. I actually like the fade away fenders, but thats way out of my league as far as craftsmanship goes. This will be my firsty chop, so lets not make it too nasty. All great ideas!! Gotta love it.

O.K. I looked em over again and the "de-humped" ride does look better. What can I say I am back and forth. It just says "mean". It just looks like your headed to a fight!!...........I love that saying to decribe a car.

Is that the actual car you're using? Looks really nice. If that were mine, I'd just put on some fender skirts and a Fulton visor, and drop it in the back a bunch. That's the plan for my '46 Chevy two door sedan. But some of the photoshops look fantastic. I especially like the 3 window coupe.
