Mmmmmmmm.....hot rods. Took mine out last nite. 24 degrees is colder than it sounds. The 'ol Flatty loves all that cold air (once it get warmed up).

    yup... DIG and BUILDING BOTH!

Thank God we live in the USA! Where the decisions are OURS TO MAKE!:)

  6. I just like cars in general, and enjoy the difference in all of them. I dig my home built a-bone a bunch but then I also dig my british sports car and my german motorcycle. For me, it's all good.

I love both also. My 57 is a very mild custom; louvered hood, homemade grill, lowered, etc. I'm just getting started on a 36 Plymouth that's going to have a 241 Red Ram, so I guess it will be my hot rod .

It's funny that right now (11:28 est) it is basically a 50/50 tie. Both are awesome, I chose Kustom to try building since I thought it would probably be slightly easier since I don't have to run around buying 8 million diffrent parts and then try to figure out how to put them all together. Plus I thought it would be better to haul around the kids in a kustom. I would actually love to own both and maybe one day I will.

Kustoms, kustoms, kustoms!! Nothing against hot rods, but a good kustom literally makes me feel squishy inside!

hot rods are for starters. I voted hot rod b/c I don't have all the skills to build a full on custom. fast can be ugly.

That's funny! "buying 8 million different parts and trying to figure out how they all go together" pretty much describes my project to a T.

I guess building a custom from a driver WOULD be easier than building a rod, but I had to do ALL the same stuff that a guy would have to do for a hot rod build - drivetrain, suspension, frame kick-up, electrics, etc., etc., etc, PLUS spending several more years of spare time changing the sheet metal around (I really should have started with a driver).

I'm really suprised at this poll - I knew there are a lot of custom guys on here, but I really thought the vast majority on the HAMB were hot rod guys.

I'm surprised too. I thought that the Hot Rods would run away with it. I guess my 80 votes did some good for the Kustom vote.

    Happy Trails,

Sorry that I did not put down "both". I am kinda' suprised also at the even steven voting so far. I also clicked the option so that others could see who voted for what on accident, but it is kind of interesting to see the voters and what they like.

For those who have not voted yet..........step up to the plate.......and make your vote count.

Gotta vote for Kustoms today. Probably would vote HotRod on a Wednesday. I gotta say I'm directly 50/50 on the issue but beings I have a 54 Chevy that I'm gettin ready to build, I guess I'll lean that way.
