My buddy made up this shift knob tonight. I thought it was HAMB worthy. He's a pretty skilled dude. I think he's gonna make up some more and see if there's any interest in 'em.

I'll post a painted pic as soon as he gets done with it.

    Looks like a Baldknobber

What is it made out of? What do people use? I've got some ideas but wasn't sure what would be durable and easy to work with.

Well, right wrong or indifferent, that one is made out of Polymer Clay. It just fires in the oven. Stuff's real easy to find. I think he just got it at Wal-Mart. I'm sure the big dogs use fancy stuff but for just funnin around, this stuff worked good.

ive used super sculpey before (available at craft stores) and its real easy to work with, cooks rock hard in the oven and paints really well.

Polymer clay should hold up nicely. I have been thinking about making one myself. You could bake a nut right into the bottom.

Like a Frankenstein type thing with the bolts comin outta the neck. I'll decide whether I like that part after it's painted. Talked to him awhile ago and he said he made 2 more.

That was the first time he sculpted anything though so I imagine the next ones will be pretty badass.... we'll see
