I'm back from a good trip to Portland OR. bought a vintage air system for the kabover as well as some metal skirts i'm going to adapt for the rear fenders. i also found a window mount swamp cooler that i'll paint to match, i think they're cool and look good at shows. i seen the" lucky's towing" truck in the parking lot(cool). Donn-i'll try harder to make it happen this year.

On our way to the swapmeet we stopped at Steve's Auto Restorations and were fortunate to get a shop tour. the metal work is very impressive, a few pics of the oversized c.o.e. they're building. the guy in the one pic is our own blaaze and no he's not a small dude, this truck is huge. This 73 yr old girl can't wrestle but you gots to see her box. got both fenders and running boards on today. I'm not going to make sundays spring S&S with the kabover but will take the 56 shop truck. a little more tweeking before i get the box to primer. real happy with the results but like always more work than first thought. its way easier in my mind. pics soon. i'll start a build thread on my 56 merc c.o.e. after the 39's in primer as i've started on it too.

  9. That was the only reason I was going to go to the Spring Thaw.
maybe i'll stay home and work on mine.

don't think i'm going to go either, if i give her **** tomorow i may have the box in primer. i'm waiting for a A/C compressor bracket , should come this week. did alot of metal work on the running boards and even more on the fenders today, the hammers are getting way smaller. always a good sign.

I will post some pics soon really, made the rear pan and cut out the tail light holes. of all things i'm using 39 ford teardrop lights. i have the tail gate to finish tomorow, using the ford script from a 47 pick-up tail gate.

buggy-not military, alot of these were ford green. this one was a garbage truck for the city of regina saskatchewan. the door signs say engineering dept-cleansing division. i'm going to try to clean some paint off the signs and get a picture. just a thought -make this into a bonneville runner and the 56 the hauler.
