Headed down to San Jose today for The Viejitos car Club Christmas Toy Drive to help needy kid's in the Bay Area, it was a great show, and there were some HAMB'ers there too....
They threw a cool show, and got a HUGE pile of toy's for the kid's, it was a great day, and the weather was perfect.... Fellow HAMB'ers Williesplace, Phat Caddy, Coupe-De-Cab & Barefoot were also in attendance.
Thanks for posting pics! I'll put some more on our site very soon... We (my brother and I) had to judge, with a little help from the Viejitos... it was hard, there were a lot of cool lowriders there. I wish there were more rods and customs there. We gave Scotty and award, and were gonna give Cab an award, but he took off early. -Juan - I didn't get a good picture, but here's a 62 Impala 4 door hardtop - Tom's caddy, he did a nice paint job and it was halfway in his garage when he did it. - We went to eat downtown after the show.
I think I was stood next to you when you were talking with Willie & Scotty....you had a baseball cap & a Moon shirt on right? All of the caddy's and the 38 Willys parked there together are owned by HAMB'ers....just gotta get Scotty to join up now!
Naw... that was my brother... he's the one always sportin' the baseball caps. He has too many of them, and to me they all look the same, I think I was wearing a flannel... Next time you see one of us, say hello... Even though we look like we would, we don't bite... haha
I asked Willie after you....sorry, he waked off...is that the guy from Deadend...he said yes....didn't tell me there were 2 of you!!
Very cool pictures Dave. The show reminded me of my old low-rider days!!!!Low Rider drives alittle slower(except wacked Hawaiian Low Riders)Low Rider is alittle lower(unless driving above 100mph)Maybe thats why I couldn't low ride anymore!!!
I know it's probably the Mexican in me, but I love them Old Lowriders, Bombas! When you see a bunch of them cruising all shiney and shit. That is some classy shit, and for a good cause too! Props Viejitos!
Was there a 64' 2 dr hardtop galaxie 500 there? owned now by a guy named alex valdez, was my old car and i'm trying to see what he's done to it.
There was maybe 200+ cars there....didn't see a Galaxie that I can remember, I was suffering Impala overload
Thanks for the pictures Dave!!! Looking at the pictures you can not tell that we were freezing our asses off. Very classy car clubs in attendance. Even a row of those little import cars. A great representation of the San Jose Area car culture.
thanx for the pics 32....geez it must be nice to live where the weather's that good at this time of the year..we had about 140 cars at our toy run,,,but not like that....very cool and wet at ours.but lots of variety in our cars...Lo's to Firetrucks. thanx again
