Hey, I recently bought a 1931 Desoto 3-Window Coupe off of Woodythx138 (Thanks, Chris!) and I am trying to get my wheels turning on what kinds of things I should do with the car. I have a couple of cool ideas for it, but I would also like to see what kinds of things you photoshop experts can do with it! Change the color of the car, the stance, the wheels, whatever! Thanks!!
I wouldn't do a damned thing to that car. Maybe I'd paint the hood to match the body, and find some caps for the wire wheels. It looks way too good as-is to modify the body.
Looks too nice to change, I would keep that one original & find something else to hot rod. After all, you can have more than one. Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
i hate to say it but i agree, that car is almost to nice to cut up. btw, it bugs when you read articles about guys that buy really clean cars from the original owner, and they ex-owner asks them before they sell the car if they are going to cut it up and they say "no, never, no way" then they wack the ****er up and then brag about it to the magazine, saying how the car was to nice not to cut up. (sorry for the verbal diahrea)
I might have to consider that. Thanks for the pic Tim! Keep the photoshops coming! And, just out of curiosity, could anyone make the car look like it was painted in this color paint? Yeah, I hear you. This car is too nice to cut up, I agree. I am going to leave the body just the way it is, other than maybe some new paint, if I feel like doing so.
"then they wack the ****er up and then brag about it to the magazine, saying how the car was to nice not to cut up" IE: Floyd Cotterpin....
I though "cut it? no way!" than I saw that photo chop shop and man, it looks mean like that! You are good with the photo shop. But really, i best not let that pic get the best of me. In the history of the world that car had a dramatic influence. It was one of the first cars EVER made of the countless millions and billions produced. Don't cut it!
i am sorta in agreement. that car is way too nice to chop up. but if you're gonna do it, here's a possibility:
that thing has the possability of bein one of the coolest hot rods ever! do what works with it, even if that means cuttin it up!
Thanks for all of the photoshops guys! Really appreciate it! I did a few drawings, and I really liked one I did of the car in lime green. I'll post them up in a bit and see how you guys like em'.
Nice car to start with. In my opinion it is too nice to cut up too! but what you want to do is important! I would put a late model rear on the stock springs with blocks to get her down, then i would put a 6 inchish or so dropped front tube axle on the stock springs also to get the nose down, then id sneak something cool under the hood and get a set of 15" plymouth stock steal wheels mid to late 30's had em w/ 5x4-1/2 bc) and put stock desoto hubcaps on em and www,s. my 2 cents
Could anyone here photoshop the car so it has the same paint as the Lime Green speed shape in this picture? Thanks!!
That's alright. Thanks! I drew up some pictures of what I was thinking of doing interior-wise on the car. I'll see what you guys think of it. I'm really not sure whether I should make it a resto rod (Tan Tuck and Roll interior w/Black paint) or if I should make it a total Hot Rod and make it as flashy and crazy as possible. What do you guys think I should do?
it's your call. you're the one that will have to drive it and see it everyday. i prefer the fenderless action. there's something so neat about making a car 'your own' rather than restoring it to 'as was' condition.
