Well last week I finally got started on my RPU again and got sterring, brakes and other things mounted to only find that I needed to be 6 inches shorter and attend Jenny Craig.Well if I sat in this a dozen times I set in it a hundred times and thought there was room.So to be able to drive it I would either have to amputaite my lt leg or extend the cab.So I extended it 6 inches and moved the axle back same distance. The old girls got a long wheel base but it ought to handle the 500 hp motor thats goin in her better at high speeds now.Got to finish up the tin work on the cab now. Also check out the 50"s speed boat steering wheel that uncle scooby gave me.Its all aluminuim and will get a little polish and flake.Made the bullet center cap for it.It has now been named the Impaler around the shop.I think now I need just a little shorter tire on frt or taller on back.

Really diggin the Mack truck grill. I'd hate to impale myself on the steering wheel center though.

I know what you mean though. I'm 6'4", 270 and the 28 cab I started with is going to be cramped. I'm thinking of stretching mine as well.

Yes I am , Had some sprint car boxes but didnt use'm.The grille is from a lasalle fire truck with 39 pontiac trim and and a 30's ram hood ornament. It will be powered by a spare motor that I have ran in my super street Daytona.Motor has went 10.55 at 121 mph in 1/4 in a 2700 lbs car so it ought to be interesting in this.

    Thanks for the comments

Built the bed from scratch.Drew it up on a piece of paper and went to town. Its made from I believe 16 ga and 1 inch tubing with 2 inch stake pockets.I can maybe get some more pics of it up sometime this weekend.I pretty much built the whole truck with some help from a few friends along the way.I used a 4 door cowl and chopped up some doors off another A.The back cab panel is made from a sedan back panel. The farme is 2 x 4 box with about 16 inches of kick up.It will eventually have SHINY PAINT.There I said it but i want to have everything done first before I start on that. This is being built from stuff laying on the garge and the floors of my 50 closest friends.;)

My goal is to not hook up with the skinneys it is to do a 1/8 mile burn out at the HANB drags just like the old days...

Scoob, I gots me one of those stickers that says "Don't touch this truck unless your completly nude"
So bring your Mankini till we get outta town and then you know what has to happen if your ridin along......:D BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Thanks Shoe

That would really help if you could get a couple of shots up. Not trying to bite your style but I need a bed for my truck and I REALLY like the way yours turned out....

Man I love that little truck

There are only 2 wheels known to exsit like that and I have one and randy has one. That I guess is the benefit of livin close to Scoob because he keeps find more cool obscure shit than any man has a right to so he gives us the stuff that aint quite as spectacular as a rocket engine for your car.BAHAHAHA

    Thanks again fr the comments.....

It looks good David. I cant wait to see you driving it. It will be wierd to not see you on a bike. Maybe if you were short like all the cool people in this world you wouldnt have to lengthen it.
