Turned up this ROOF intake after I got the heads, then found out that they were sold as a package called the Blue Streak.. Block is away being machined right now, hope to have it running in a month or two. Would like to hear from anyone who has ran a Twinfire 8 Autolite distributor.!!

Oh I forgot. I have a pair of Kogel Rocket Racer heads. Also here is on of my original Flathead Cad Cyclone heads. The Cyclones were for a bonneville roadster that ran 1950.. Its was setup with a Front drive blower setup also, They added 3 extra studs to them for the blower setup.. Lot of great workmanship in that engine..

the third from the left is the rarest one that I have no one in australia has seen one before, it was manufactured here but none of the flathead guys here know of it. Its a similar casting to others that I have, but that is all I know on it.

I'm running a MultiPower intake. I know nothing about it. A friend of my father's gave it to me...it had never been used! Sorry, no pic.

Somebody is/was selling repops of this intake, and the heads to match it. Not sure who he is, but I think he's located in Temecula CA. Had the intake and heads listed on ebay about a year ago, but the price was pretty high and I don't think they sold. Looked real nice, though.

Here's my lackluster contribution. I dont know who made it because theres no name or markings but I think the carb bolt pattern is unusual. Any guesses?

The carb bolt pattern looks like its two 3-bolt patterns so you could bolt the carbs either facing float bowls forward or float bowls behind. Float bowls forward is the usual way and copied from Ford. It might have to do with if it was used for circle track racing or maybe boat racing. Do you roundy-round racers have any ideas or input?

Shoebox72's? No, edmunds never made a dual like that.
Anyone have any old edmunds ads?

well I guess some other edmunds just cast his name on them then.

this is a bad photo and the only one I can find now, but this had edmunds racing cast between the two carbs.

I sold it to a guy who specifically wanted an edmunds intake. so dont have it anymore.

the lettering on Shoebox72's manifold was prolly ground off. Flatoz' has the original castings. I'll take em both!:D

I just picked one up virtually identical to those - no lettering either - of course, it could have been ground off, but all the other normal Edmunds manifolds I've seen (got a couple & a set of heads) have the Edmunds script engraved in, so there'd be a lot of grinding to get rid of it.

My intake has the 4-hole Mercury-style carb pattern & only one of the 3-hold carb patterns for each mounting pad. The center hole for the 3-hole is "filled" with a set-screw/grub-screw.

I had read somewhere that Edmunds never made a racing manifold - all were made with provisions for the generator in the stock location. But, my feeble memory doesn't always retain pertinent facts such as this correct....:D

mine was engraved, when I said cast, I meant cast as in it was part of the casting, not added later, which even to get an engraved look still has to be part of the casting, just a "male" in the casting box not "female"

I have been looking for Roof stuff for a long time. Missed a couple of intakes on Ebay a while back. I live in Anderson, Indiana where Roof lived and his grandson still lives here. I found out about a pickup truckload of Roof stuff being sold about a year ago, after it was already gone. There are a couple of "T" Roof engines in town, but not much else left. Maybe one of these days I'll find something I can afford.

  28. Try running an ad in the local paper in the antique cars section of the cl***ifieds. Maybe there's an old hot rodder or two left in town with a stash.
