built myself a snow shovel this afternoon. we keep gettin light snow, my driveway is long & smooth
this is 4 feet 9 inches the orange one in front of it is NOT a mini shovel.
IT WORKS PERFECT) i shovelled everyones drive in the neighborhood trying it out.
built it for under 10 bucks, a conduit frame behind the sheetmetal, i went to get a handle & ended up with a 4 dollar spade i cut the end off (tip off the spade) turned it around welded it on the conduit frame & the angle is perfect.

pics **** but this is a BIG shovel

I think you should flat black it,put whitewalls on it and a flathead in it.

It's not the size that counts, its how you use it:D

All you need now is a way to attach it to a riding mower...

cut the handle off, weld on a plow frame, and bolt it to the front of a rat rod- put studded snows on back with chains and posi- and make a vintage hot rod snow plow

    Olds powered....just a 2bbl on that one...

I just can't believe that thing works as well as you say it does. Soooooo, being the nice guy I am, I'm going to let you bring it over to my place and show me how it works. :p We can have a race, it would be the only manly thing to do. You can take one side of my driveway with your shovel and I will take the other lane with my plow truck and we will see who gets done first. I'll even give you lane choice. I think there is about 4" of the fresh white stuff out there right now. We can run the race in the morning, how does 8am sound? :D Gene

    Here's a traditional "rat" plow. 4x4 and merc powered.Think there's some
tire chains too. Can somebody tell me why those front wheels are
    "swiss cheesed"?

My policy on snow shovels: Buy the one that says "Made in Canada" on it. Say what you will, those people know their bacon and snow shovels...

oooooh Earl NOOOOOO WAY on the wayne 60 door! :D shes fresh 18 ga.

HERES HOW IT IS: so i shovel & shovel for the last 3 years & i keep thinking as im shoveling about how light the snow is anymore so i get idea about 'a king sized shovel. ---- so i build one, IT WORKS GREAT >>>BUT its a touch heavy you dont want to make short p***es across the driveway, youd be worn out midway so you go the long way down the drive.
(did i mention how the handle angle is right on) thats the key to the whole thing!

i had it up on my shoulder & was fukkin around pretending i was heading out to make rounds to go shovel drives for money. but the big ******* almost broke my collar bone! HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

IT DOES WORK NICE & FAST ON THE LIGHT STUFF!

BRING IT ON MOTHER NATURE! JUST DONT TAKE THE "BIG WET DUMP" ON US!!!!!!! :D
