wondering what its worth to pay for them. most likely not in perfect shape (pitted or poor chrome)? thanks!
I sold a pitted, ****ty set of five on eBay a year or two ago for $115, but they come up cheaper once in a while. I'm sure some other guys will chime in too, but that's been my only experience with them.
You can get "new" for around $75.00 each and for that price you know where they were made. Hemmings has a set of originals for $300.00 here: http://www.hemmings.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/cl***ifieds.partsdetail/id/704445/xfa_returnpage/cl***ifieds.partsearch-type-radiators/ I don't think you can rechrome one for $75.00?
A reasonable chrome shop could replate each tooth for between $50-$75, and they would probably look and fit a ****load better than some Chinese knockoff **** would. (I worked at a really good plating shop for a couple years) Best bet is to pay a couple hundred bucks and buy a nice set of used ones. The grille bars rust out and the teeth remain solid so the teeth are around.
