Cure for the Dreaded RED X caused by Norton Security

    This worked for me:

    Open Norton Security - Advanced Options.

    Add "www.jalopyjournal.com" site as shown in left side of screen.

    Go to Privacy TAb and allow "Referer" and check the box for this site.

    Hope this helps someone.

    I dont have Norton Security. I have red X's!

    I have Zone Alarm Pro but I hadnt done any recent updates to cause it.

    The only things that have been updated right around the X debut is MS Anti Spyware, Spybot and Spyware Blaster. I suspect it may be one of those.

    I still have red x's i have tried various settings. I have eztrust anti virus and firewall. I'm just getting used to it. Maybe one day they will go away as suddenly as they came.

    I just did what canuk said, and it worked, only thing was i did it in my norton firewall not the antivirus. anyway thanks.

    This is nuts... I would love to get an idea of ho wmany people this affected...

    Worse part? There is nothing I can do about it... I'm hoping the coming upgrade to vbulletin 3.5 will help resolve the problem.
