attn toronto! where do i find bias plys

  1. i dont like the thought of shipping 4 tires accross the boarder and nobody ive talked to seems to know where there is a shop up here that sells wide whites!! this must be a joke! HELP!

    Try any tire store, they should be able to order them. CTC, Frisby Tire...?

    There is a place in Hawkesbury (between Ottawa and Montreal) that deals wide whites, www.sylmar.ca/autoville , they may have bias ply.....

    Go for Simcoe tires. There is no doubt that they can help you. They put an add in Old Autos every issue.

    I would say simcoe they are at Barrie every year. they bought a set of brand new good year ovels from me a few years back.

    And, they don't have to be bia-plys. You can get the wide whites in radials too. Even some that look like bias-ply, but are actually radials.
     
  7. thanks guys. i forgot about simcoe tires...

    and poncho. ive seen the ones coker make. i think its them anyways. they do look good but its just the little things...its going on a t coupe with no fenders to...real 50's hot rod so i dont wanna blow it with the tires hahah

    Ask Brush he is the one that put me into this insanity. Here is a pic of my Pontiac with wide white radials from Simcoe Tire.

    Skunk....order them from Diamond Back and then go the UPS depot in Buffalo to pick them up. Pay tax at the border and then Bob's your Uncle......
     
  14. well i do have an uncle bob so i think this idea has to be the best! haha. i'll be calling around soon to see whats the cheapest way.

    there is a place in Bob Cageon but I forget the name.... he sells radial whites aswell- I met him in Barrie.
