Final reminder- the show is on at 8pm- called "Boys Toys-Custom Cars". I didn't think up the title- maybe "Boys Toys" is why no one else at my work was interested in being on camera
I think your "funny" too of course there are a few ways to interpret the word I'll be sure to set my DVR Jim.
I'll tune in after working out. Sounds like more fun than Monster Garage or American Chopper. http://boystoys.historychannel.com/main/default.asp# The closest link I could find.
Maybe television is better suited for you...proper spelling and grammar not required. Unfortunately, appearing halfway intelligent is.
Yep, it's under Boy's Toys NOT under Modern Marvels......at least on mine...I couldn't find it either when he first posted this...
I just watched Steve Magnante [SP?] on the SEMA show with "HIS" explanation of customs & hot rods! His theroy is customs attract the babes & hot rods scare them away! How the hell does a knothead like this get a job with someone like HOT ROD magazine?
Damn Rob, you always know how to cut my legs right out from under me! John Lovitz??? If you are going to cast me as a fat, annoying, uhmm...New Yorker- couldn't at least be Ron Jeremy?
it comes on again around 1 or 2......vcr, tivo?? yep, first half was real good.....the only thing I kept hearing about were oysters.....who was the dude with the obsession with oysters??
That's a big smile you got there Jim, did you take the seat off or something? I really liked the 1-800 rodder at the end and his '32 Model A on a Model A frame. That and the drifters caused my faith in the verasity of the History Channel. C'mon THC, do a little more studying before stepping on your dick like that.
"I think all Mercurys need to be chopped" as spoken by Gene Winfield... I thought it was okay, a little too much rice for my tatstes, but all in all, not too bad....Somebody sure liked that red Willys, must have seen that a dozen times in the show (Hell, I liked the red Willys too, but...)
The first 30 minutes were pure Hot Rod history...the last 30 minutes were Tuner cars... Oh well...... and JimA only had a 30 second spot...
It was a good show, the facts were pretty good, Jims 15 minutes of fame was more like 15 seconds! Good job Jamass. You did well, film editors suck!
Art imitates life- 3 months of talking about it equals 10 seconds of performance! Hey, sorry- you all aren't the first!
yep, caught that too....all in all, pretty good.....at least the first half.... we give the tuners a hard time but I'm glad not EVERYBODY is doing what we like...can you imagine the $$ or stuff then....sheesh!
You did do good Jim...but Jimmy white didn't lay the mega serious scratch out of the parking lot... THAT was disappointing!
Nice work Jim, although I thought you'd look older. ha ha that show was great, congrats to both you and Jimmy. -Jake
Jim- I saw you standing by the roadster and about ten seconds of talk-then a guy shows up here at the door ,to have me help him unload his panel truck at my shop,so I missed anything that happened after that. what else did I miss ? Are you a star yet?
I thought it was a pretty decent show. Some good history in there. Yeah there were some factual errors like the 32 model A haha. oh well. I didn't pay to close attention to the ricer part though.
Great show, at least the first half. Too bad you didnt get more air time, Jim. Hey! My truck made the big time! Saw it as a reflection in someones paint at the Hot Rod Reunion.
I caught the show and enjoyed most of it. Don't care for the drifting and tuner cars either but to each his own. Good job Jim!
