Design is not my forte, but it would be nice to incorporate the 50's ford crest plus the ford V8 logo - just some thoughts for those more creative then me.

Skoh, that design I sent you if it had only two cars a '52 and a '56 that would fit in with the theme, as for color suggest Ford blue or grey.

I'm in! I think black or gray shrirt with no pocket and the design should be on the back. I never buy shrits with the picture on the front.

First, let me say that I certainly didn't mean to put myself in charge of the operation- I apologize if I'm stepping on any toes. Obviously, this should be a completely democratic process. I'll throw some designs out there so we can all get a feel for what we like and what we don't. Others should feel free to post designs as well. Believe me, my feelings won't be hurt if we go with someone else's design. We all want the best product, afterall.

I think I found the person on the HAMB that I think I remember was spoken very highly of as far as doing shirts for HAMBERs, her screen name is Marcy.

Again, sorry to be slow with a design post- work is whipping my *** like a rented mule. Soon hopefully.

I am also for the design on the back . Just no white shirt and I am pretty mu OK with most any other color . I would love to see the Ford Crest on the front . Always loved the Ford Crest but nobody uses it much anymore .
As for color the Ford dark blue is my favorite color in the blues . Black & white is also a good car color .

jeffb2 asked me to chime in on this. i apologize that i haven't been around for a while, i bought a new garage that came with a house and i have been busy with that and traveling for work.

anyway, i make fairly "traditional" artwork with old printmaking methods, linocut and woodcut. this translates pretty well to t shirt art too, as the lines are bold. anyway, i did the artwork for The Gathering of the Faithful here in MA which went on the t-shirt and the poster for the last couple years. and i have been working on producing a series of posters that harken back to the old days and celebrate the drag racing posters in new england at the time.

all that to say, i'd be happy to help design something for the shirt.

i would recommend a t-shirt. pocket or pocketless is up to the old guy and young guy wrestling teams, and i ain't getting into it, excpet to say that i am 'young' and don't like floppy pockets on my chest.

you can see examples of my work in this group's photos. i just posted a few to give you an idea.

keep in mind that the more colors there are, the more expensive they are.

and, the more colors there are, the uglier they are. :) unless you like those nascar shirts...

    that's my 2c.

    General Gow,
Killer designs! I have always loved that look. I like the weathered cream color and red on a black shirt. Absolutely beautiful work.

I'd go along with the T-shirt idea too. I just have one suggestion for "layout"... I would suggest sticking with a small logo on the front left breast (I don't care for pockets either) and then put the larger logo/design on the back of the T-shirt.

I never buy a t-shirt if it has the main, big logo/drawing on the front of it. I think it looks goofy. T-shirts are much sleeker and nicer looking with the small one on front and the big design on back.

    I also prefer white T-shirts...a little dressier...for T-shirt.

    Just my 2 cents.

And please now of the rubberize decal iron on **** that makes you sweat where the logo on the back is and then starts peeling off after a certain amount of time. Silk screening ( or whatever they use these days) is the way to go...

No pocket/white is gets my vote.

Not suggesting for a design, but I do have this on the back of a T shirt that I made myself with some that paper you run through your home printer. Worked surprisingly well.

I have a potential pic to use for a design...I ran across it on the web and have it as my desktop background pic.

It's actually of a "model" car. A 1/18th scale would be my guess. I've built MANY scale model cars for people over the years...now I'm building the real thing!!!

ARGH!!!! Why can't I find a ****on to attach a pic?!

Here's a link instead, hope it works...

No idea how you credit the person for the pic or ask their permission...but anyway...

Since the group is for 1952-56 Fords,I sent general gow a frontal shot of a '52 and a '56 for the back and let Him know Ryan OK'd the HAMB logo with the addition of 1952-56 Ford social group below it for the front, so hoping He will submit a preview drawing.

That's awesome- I really dig "Gow's" work. Please remember to run any design past Ryan first- I don't want him to get upset with us. :D

I'll have to upload some pics of the ones I've built... I built a "custom" '53, this same model, but chopped lowered, etc... I even wired little electric train light behind the headlights and taillights...

UPDATE!! The designs for the shirts are going to run a little late,as our member generalgow has been very sick from something he injested.Guys, please send him some "Get Well" greetings via pm to bring him some cheer! He said he is starting to recover and hopes to get to work on the designs shortly, also oddroddgarage has said he looks forward to working with him.I have forwarded emails so they can stay in contact with each other. Also if any of you would like to submit frontal photos of your rides to him for inspiration feel free to do so by getting his email from him.
