Just curious who if any of you guys is running the Ford Aerostar springs in the front for the 3 to 4 inch drop? I have a couple questions how well the ride is with them and whats the exact total drop for them?

Put Aerostar springs in search on the main board, there were well over a hundred posts and several pictures posted also.Quite a few said the ride is much better than stock, drop is around 3'.

I just put the Aerostar springs on my '53 a couple weeks ago. (1990 Aerostar 3.0 or 4.0 $70 for the pair from O'reilly). I would highly recommend them. Cheap, easy swap, and rides great. Took an hour or so to do both springs and rides way better even with the original worn out shocks. I'll try to post some pics tonight. I'm not sure I got a full 3" drop, maybe more like 2" but they may settle some with time. Drove it to Day of the Drags over the weekend and it rode great, didn't bottom out, very streetable.

This is the first I have heard of this swap. I just purchased lowered springs from Jamco for a lot more. I may look into returning them if the Aerostar springs work just as well.

Hopefully the pics go through but this is the car now with the Aerostar springs. You can see from the ruler behind the front tire that it is about 6 1/2" off the ground. I didn't measure it before swap and my old springs were worn out but I'm guessing a 2" drop. I would like to go more but this is very steetable and hasn't bottomed out yet. Like I said before it rides much better and was well worth the $70.

Have run the Aerostar springs since last march and they work fine. My 53 customline rides and steers much better!

I have them on my 56, so far they are GREAT! Only put 100 miles or so on it, but the ride is awesome, but I did new sway bars at the same time also

Put mine on in May- they are awesome! I couldn't believe the difference in handling, and the stance is perfect. I would recommend this to anyone in our group.
