Today I turned 64 ( I am a HAMB Old Farts guy too!) one of the best presents is seeing how much this site has grown in so short a time ,thanks to you guys! Kinda hard to believe it's been 48 years ago I was riding in my first car,a 1953 Ford Customline.I guess looking at all these rides and swappin' stories helps you recapture your youth and not think about being an old guy and that's just
Kinda ****s having a birthday between Christmas and New Year, doesn't it? Everybody kinda forgets your birthday until March or so, and then say, Don't you have a birthday around this time of year...? Worse yet, they hold out on some of your Christmas presents just so they can give 'em to ya' on your birthday! That hurts! But for a while at least, your parents were very pleased with you because you ended up being a last-minute tax deduction the year you were born. Probably changed their minds later, though, especially during your teen years when you cost 'em a whole lot more than they ever saved in taxes! Oh, well. Such is the fate of a Capricorn 'tweener. BTW, Jeff. Mine is day after tomorrow. I'll be 63, so don't feel like the Lone Ranger! Happy Birthday!
64? Is that all? You're ahead of me by a little bit... Maybe for your 65th...we guys can get together and celebrate with you. Wouldn't it be neat if we could do that? Something to work for? Can we postpone the birthday until the summer? I'm in! Happy Birthday... many more. Thanks for all you have done on this site in this last year. You brought together a lot of unknown friends to this site. I've got some guys on here that I would really like to meet in person, quaility guys for sure! Yes, yes you're one! Interesting thought.... what are the ages of the guys (and gals) here? Put me down for a 58. I gotta go out and charge the battery of the '53... it seems that when I got back home from town, I left the lights on and ran the battery dead. Gawd I miss my memory!
Happy birthday Jeff and to all y'all with b'days in December. Oh yeah, that includes me - was 58 on the 20th. And son in-law hit 35 on Christmas Day - that hadta **** when he was a kid! Boy o boy our parents must've had some great orgies in March. . . Yeah, the years are startin' to catch up to all of us I guess. The ol' hands don't function like they used to, but what does? But wifey and I are enjoying life in spite of Father Time. We have 3 great kids and 6 grandsons and are looking forward to retirement in a few years so we can enjoy the cars, traveling and stuff we haven't been able to do while working. This is a great site! Only thing I wish we were closer so we could tip a few together! Ron
I'll be 41 next month...a relative youngster, but I've been obsessed cars from the 20's to the 50's since I was a toddler.
