I have a mystery torque converter I need ID'ed... It bolts on to my 350 flywheel with 3 bolts, so I'm pretty sure it's GM...

But, I don't really know about automatic transmissions... It slid onto a T350 ******..

SO, here's the question... If if fits on the ******, will it WORK...??? I'm ***uming that a T350, T400, and 700R4 all take different torque converters...

The numbers on the sticker are as follows...

1F (really big and on the silver left side)
    8629
765 (both sets of numbers are on the RED right side of the sticker)

    Any help is greatly appreciated...

the 350 and 400 use the same converter. The 700 is different.

Is it new old stock? used? rebuilt? is it painted? does it have a clutch on the front? (pictures are a very big help)

It appears to be rebuilt... I had to s****e off blue paint to get to the sticker #'s...

the shaft coming out of the open end is about 2 inches across and maybe 31/2 inches long... the end of it has 2 maybe 3/8" semi-circles cut out of it...
