made this little suspension stop for the rearend.Still got to add a spine to it.. heres the the steering arm after I had my favorite machine shop lengthen it for me under the cowl I think Im going to make a new pitman arm. I also have to hang a pillow block bearing under the cowl to support the steering arm.. Lame update I know. Im a post *****....
Great looking mount, but I think a big bump like taking a rail crossing at speed or something would bend that in a second, due to the holes taking most of the strength out. maybe box it along the bottom edge to stiffen it up? EDIT : im a ****nuckle. just noticed you wrote youre adding a spine...well at least great minds think alike!
exactly. I plan on adding a spine to it next week. After I got in it looked a bit flimsy. Once its boxed it "should" be strong eough...
By far one of the coolest rides going together on the HAMB right now!! Keep us posted, you're an inspiration!!
You're truck rocks !!!! What did you use for a steering box, on your cowl steering? Keep up the great work. CBB
TxRat, Your truck rocks! That is one of the coolest rides i've seen in a while. I would never have the confidence in fabricating to even try some of the stuff you do. When it's finished i might have to drive down south to check it in person.
Looking great! I'm building a '30 Ford PU, and you are about 5 steps ahead of me. Watchin' your progress has really kept me motivated, so keep it up! Excellent work so far.
This has to be my favorite old truck buildup and Probably my favorite old truck. And its not even finished. I love it.
I'd have to agree with everyone, that's no piece of **** looks good to me. Nice to see the progress shots.
