HEMIDAV, you are correct on the valve settings. My memory is get foggy at 80 years old.
The fuel injection motor also had solid lifters in 1965. If I remember correctly the valve setting on a cold motor was .008 intake and .018 exhaust.
I would have bought one. The Corvair engine was very good if you treated it as air cooled engine.
I think it a 1965 based on the corvette emblem on the rear of the corvette ahead on the line 1966 emblem had a bigger C. It is a big hp engine.
