I did a Vintage Air heat air combo in a 56 Pontiac and had to fab a bracket from scratch to mount the compressor on the pass. side of the engine.

Hoods are different in front.Rear fenders on 39s have smaller wheel openings than 40. 39-40 coupe doors are basically the same.
