Gonna have to think a bit on this. I want to get the dash cap right. Maybe cut the cap down thin and put some black closed-cell foam rubber over it.
I think it needs the cap panel , but they’re too thick. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]

I like the look of the dash. I may need to do a little bit of trimming for final fit. And I’m thinking I might put a hinge in there so the panel...

Everything looks really good, and that is a double roller timing chain.

So I checked out some ideas for the dash today, and cleaned up the engine I bought, and pulled the oil pan.
So with some fore-and aft tolerance on the trans mount, I should be good to go with using what I have to mock things up. Not that I’m in a hurry...
Awesome. Corey has quite a sense of humor but can be sneaky. Soon after we got him he pulled my lunch box off of the kitchen table, unzipped all...
That’s Corey. Great dog. We got him as a rescue, he had been somewhat feral. Not many bad habits, except eating bugs and such out of the lawn....
Sharp eye, brother! I haven’t mocked the trans up to the engine yet. The guy I bought the trans from threw in the bellhousing and flywheel. I...
Yes! Very Minimalist, and would look bitchin. With any luck at all , it would look like it belonged there.
Anyway, if anyone has any other ideas for that diff cover, please let me know. The patina on that thing is so cool and perfect, I want to be...
So I’m thinking I need to do something else. I was sketching a cut- down version, almost like a Nerf bar. [ATTACH]
I thought I could attach it to the back of the 8 inch ford diff, but it looks dorky and tacked on. Cuz it would be. [ATTACH]
And there’s something else I’ve been thinking about, and I’m looking for ideas. I’ve got this great differential cover from the international:...
And I decided to go small block. 1965 289. Big cam, 11:1 compression. [ATTACH]
I’ve also made some decisions on powertrain. I came this Borg Warner T-10 with a hurst shifter. It’s been nicely rebuilt, and it has a dual pattern.
[ATTACH] The rings will help the gauges fit the openings in the dash, and I think the look is better than the stainless. I really like an...
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] I sanded and smoothed the edges, primed and rattle canned them red to match the dash.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] So I’ve been looking at my bezel for the gauges again. I kind of set it aside because it just wasn’t doing it for me....
[ATTACH] I got this dash out of an old international harvester truck. After taking measurements, I hoped it would fit in my 1930 Ford Model A...
And I decided to put a Z in the back of the frame, to go with a triangulated 4 link rear suspension. [ATTACH]
I bought an 8 inch ford diff, then bought a Detroit locker-style posi and bearing kit, and a new set of 3.78 gears to replace the 2.80 set that...
So Im working on the rear of the Model A, and Im really happy w/ the results. Basically, I bought a bunch parts. [ATTACH]
[ATTACH] Heres the bearing race.
[ATTACH]lemme try again on the photos
So I haven't posted in awhile. I really haven't had any cool things to show like fitting an engine or hanging new suspension. not yet anyway....
