Nice looking body!
I've seen smoke machines used to track down vacuum leaks on engines. If there's a leak, the smoke will pour out.
Isky has cams that will work with low compression. I had a Isky 280H Hydraulic in a 350 once, with 8 to 1 compression. Had a good Dairy Queen...
Just to make it clear.....there is NO overnight camping on the salt itself. Bend of the road, yes, but not out on the salt. EVERYBODY has to be...
And perhaps paint the tank body color, so it will blend in more.
I like the electrical plugs high up on the wall. When they're down low, you usually have to move a bunch of stuff just to find them. Great...
MCMOPAR nailed it with the first reply. HSS (High Speed Steel) is the way to go.
Now that's what we call a KEEPER!
Sounds like you have very low compression. The old Isky 280H grind works well with low or high compression. Good lopy idle, killer power up to...
You might check with a local upholstry shop. They can tell you what densities to use on top, bottom, etc. And they will probably have it in stock.
A respected engine builder and dyno man told me the days of the wide gaps are over. He says just check the plugs, and install as purchased. Hmmmmm.
Betcha your carb gasket is wrong, and it's keeping the butterflys from opening all the way. Easy to check.
I sold a T-Bucket once.......bought it back a few years later. Couldn't live without it.
Welcome to the HAMB!
I saw the Brookville semi roll through Dallas yesterday, heading to Austin. You can snap up a body or two at the Roundup!
We are already wearing our shorts and T's in Dallas.
Very nice. Good weather will be here soon.
Here's a little thing about West Texas. By the state photographer. http://player.vimeo.com/video/22132017?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0
Nice!
What does your car weigh?
Hell of a story.......hell of a car!
bttt
Hell.........it's just a little engine work. Do it!
DAMN! Chevy assembly line (1939?) http://www.dump.com/assemblyline/
Listen to Bubba!
Yep......I remembered that car from your description.
A "D" engine is 306 cubic inches or less. A "C" engine starts there and goes up to 372 inches, I believe.
Yeah.....no fun at all, but it's the thing to do. Been there done that. Sorry.
That's gonna be fun!
