Put it all back together and hooked up my drill with an onld piece of speedo cable to see if it all worked and it did... now I have to get the bezel rechromed and I am done

The speedo drive itself was not broken but the 57 year old grease that was used during assembly had hardened to a rock like state

All the little colored plastic light covers disintegrated when I took them out of the housing...

The plastic was in decent shape but needed to be cleaned up, so I wet sanded it with 800 and then 1000 grit and then clear coated it... good as new

I am trying to hunt down a good shop to drop off my 56 Pontiac's engine to get rebuilt but I was hoping someone on the HAMB has already had a good...
