All they legally need is the firewall with a good vin attached.
I don't know never put any batteries in it.

I must be missing something, I thought the bodies were the same with minor changes to the firewall and cowl sides?
I think they were under the dash on the middle of the firewall before 39.
I think that's the cab number, It should have a General Motors serial number plate on the passenger side cowl under the hood.
