Sounds like you're good to go. Just keep an eye on your fluid levels.
Do you smell antifreeze? Any white smoke out the exhaust? Have you pulled the plugs (runs rough) & are they clean? Any air bubbles in the radiator...

Yep, seal it first, poly or clear enamel will both work
270 or 302. I think you may be missing a # on the engine casting
