They utilize a driveshaft drum brake system. Very easy to add E brakes to them,as I did on my build thread “original paint coupe”

I am using a LaSalle transmission with a 54 Nailhead coupled by a Speed Gems adapter plate.
It’s an inch more than you had and like you say, they look great. Speaking of great, I love that B/B shear. Top line Canadian made equipment.
