well started drilling out the rear drums and pulling studs thru..one side done..wheel cylinders look pretty good probably replaced somewhere along...

any of you electrical guru's explain why this ran ggod for 2 days with the coil wired wrong? seems to me it should not have?
guess i'll just cut this one off and weld a different piece on it?

lol its ok...it is a 46 dodge 1/2 ton truck 2wd...i havent pulled the dist. out yet to check it..its stumping me as well as a lot of people,...
217? not a 218? either or not much of a difference for tune up parts if anything the 230 pieces should be heavy duty :D no the carb parts were...
more stuff i can look for when weather permits...parts are looking the same as what i taken off so far....another problem is its not like they are...
crappy weather to even tinker with it, hopefully the weekend is nicer
pretty much i have, im concerned maybe not enough spark to the points? or i just throw a hammer at it and start a body swap later in the summer

i tell ya i have an 85 dodge short bed i was thinking of setting this on...and it makes me lean more and more towards doing it...was really hoping...

oh and touch the throttle to try and give her gas...putters right out and dies
didnt find anything blocking the flow but the needle valve float position not opening up to let fuel into the bowl... no i didn't put a regulator...
well still not starting ; its getting gas new points in and condenser man was hoping to drive this thing but maybe the body swap on the 85 frame...
all good points guess i got alot more checking to do
could be..i'll dig deeper tomorrow spent the last 2 days fighting to get gas thru the carb, its getting fuel, just puttering like a stuck valve or...

i cant find one for this carb for under 65.
