The Jalopy Journal
You could also use an F1 cross member with the Ford transmission.
Rest in peace Al. You will be missed. My condolences to his family and many friends.
@Ned Ludd or depending on how big that hole is could be used to hold an outside tailpipe along the body or possibly a gauge mount.
No problem. I often wondered why they didn't just do something with the front cross member to allow the 4 to mount slightly forward vs the V8 so...
@BJR the op is talking about a 34 not a 32. On the 33-34 the transmission mount goes on one way with the 4 and turned around the other way with...
4 cylinder is longer. The 4 cylinder driveshaft is shorter than the V8 shaft.

Mechanix Illustrated sports car. It's been covered here before. I'm sure there are quite a few still out there.
@panhead_pete The red ones?
@dlw1932 Dave that actuator you made up looks an awful lot like the actuator on some truck 2 speed rear axles I've worked on.
@Outback in the Salmson work project pic is that a Curtiss V8 I see behind it?
You could also make a template of it and check out some other doors to see if you can find a section that will match. Kind of like cutting out...

@40ragtopdown might only be pasteurized.
@Pat Pryor I'd be interested in at least one panel possibly more.
If you want a flathead you might be able to find one of the French flatheads used in military vehicles a bit closer to home.
Danny, hope you recover quickly and smoothly. There's a whole bunch of people on here that care about you.
Ryan, sorry for your loss. Always hurts losing our friends. My sympathy goes out to Mike's family and friends.
@ssaza25 too bad you're all the way in Arizona.
@Lloyd's paint & glass @chevy57dude I'd be in for a thousand. Now we just need 347 more guys
@Frames Dennis is that 5 speed one of those old Clark 5 speeds?
@choptop40 funny you mention that. I was at the Mopar Nationals at Englishtown many years ago and when everybody was packing up to leave there...
I agree with shivasdad on contacting Matt. He buys quite a bit of stuff. Even if he bought a portion of it it would help.
Something to keep in mind is that the power wagons used the 230 as well until they switched over to the 251. They built and sold them here until...
If I find one I'll be sure to send you pictures of it.

@swifty were there no Rolls Royce dealers? An old Rolls Royce mechanic should be familiar with them. They used them from 1953-1978.
@51 mercules I like that modified milk crate to hold the transmission. Hope you don't mind me stealing your idea.
@36roadster but I need parts for a '44 Henway not a '45
@JimSibley I thought you posted a before and after in that first pic. Thought I missed the build in between.
