Yeah.. .If it wasn't for the vacuum issue with the carb I would lean towards the converter. When it shuts the motor down if you plug up the 3/8...
Slightly wet... Nothing severe... Pretty sure it's the carb.... New one will be here tomorrow... I'll slap it on and check everything out again.
