Leave them alone. Like many have said, If you dig into those spots you will open up a can of worms that you did not want.
Some guys just give into peer pressure easier than others.:)
Do you have pics of the bad spots? I would just leave them unless you are going to repaint soon.

I just removed them from my 47. I used a handle remover tool. You might be able to use a very small straight edge screwdriver and just tap them...
