so far im back to sqaure one it seems i have no spark once again but the button rotates with the cap off and u bump the starter im trying to fix...
tried just about everything suggested except taking the valve cover off and still nothing tomorrow im going to hook up an msd box to see if itll...
it has spark!i found that out the hard way about 5 minutes ago...hurt like hell compression is a go primed the carb dont have a timing...
i think im going to look into replacing the timing chain if that doesnt do it.....ill just blow it up

we tried to put the heads on and they didnt fit for crap the guy who he got the engine from has the original heads that were rebuilt..i told him...
so ive been reading up on allpar.com and apparently its an A 318 and the only real difference is the heads so it looks like that engine is a good...
