not me or Dad, I don't have a clue who they were. I was in the Navy and probably on Guam when this was taken.
this was taken at my Dad's machine shop, probably in the late 60's.
I agree, only it would be a 199 or 232. The 196 was gone by '66. My '65 has the 196 and it goes down the road just fine. These cars are pretty light.

May be nothing more than bad battery connections. Clean all four points and extra grounds, if it has them.
