Different opinions Gimpyshotrods says should have both bell housing mount and crossmember
Front mounts, block is tapped for mounts
Yep Have always like to be safe not sorry, Thanks
OK Won't be that much more to put a cross member in also
So are you saying both stock bell housing mount and tail mount??
Yes have the stagger starter holes in 327 block, so 168tooth
Why would this be different then the stock mounts now with front motor mounts, the conversion brackets from Danchuk mount to the same mount as stock
New transmission arrived. The 350 is 27 9/16". The power glide best I can measure is 27 1/2", so its a wash basically the same. That being said...
Engine has the front mounts
OK Re- read the 350 length compensates for the 3" filler
Was planning on using these mounts as long as I have the front motor mounts, but maybe won't work when I take the 3" piece out
My power glide is 27 1/2" approximant. suppose to be same as 350 with 6" tail. I wondering if when I remove the 3" piece between the power glide...
Have a 27 spline yoke for transmission end of driveshaft, suppose to be right for 350
So when I remove the 3" piece won't that change my driveshaft length and transmission mounts
Yep 3". I got the 350 with the 6" tail suppose to be same length as power glide. When I put a tape on the glide it was 27+ inches
So the same flexplate will work?
Its a 327 out of a 68 Impala, appears to be drilled for starter, to stagger holes
327
Getting ready to pull my older cast iron power glide in my 55 to install 350 turbo. Will the powerglide cast iron bell housing with the starter...

Thanks for the information, planning of changing transmission also. I'm running 235x75x15 (rear) which are 28.9", so would be less then your...
Wish that would of been my case, new pinion seal would be cheap fix.
Pretty good howl to the rear end. The pinion seal is leaking, was low when I bought it . Probably been low and run before. Don't know about up...
Only picture I have off rear end
I just ordered a Currie 9" rear -end assembly with 3.50 third member. Thanks again for all the input.
Remember reading that some where before. Just looking at the rear-end housing everything looks stock, I know there's a chance the third member was...
Having just bought the car a month ago, doesn't have tac, but having run equipment for 35 years can tell it cruises good now with stock rearend...
