I will pull the dust shield off when I find a helper to work the pedal. Thanks gents.
The way that it chattered going into third felt like the clutch disc was not disengaging enough. The pedal itself, once I was pressing on it, to...
I have a couple of problems with the Y block clutch pedal in the Model A. 1. On two occasions, I've tried to shift from first to third (T-150 3...
Well the newest update is that a few buddies spent a weekend getting the trans swapped in... We needed to swap bearing retainers (they seemed...
Sounds good. Thanks to all. Thanks for clearing that up, Rich. The only thing that's new is the overdrive circuit which is going through a relay.
There is no continuity between Gage and Coil on my switch when it's off. I currently have 3 things on each terminal...not even sure what they all...
So anything that needs switched power can run off the "coil" terminal... for example a relay that runs a solenoid for an overdrive? Thanks.
What's the difference between the "GAGE" and "COIL" terminals on the '39 Ford ignition switch? They both seem to get 12v with the ignition switch on.
Thanks for the tips. My "crutch caps" will be here tomorrow and I plan to use those...but now that I have it back together and bolted up there...
I will take a photo of what the trans side looks like later and post. I think the guy that rebuilt it has it plugged. It’s an oddball- AMC...

Damn...I think a parts store in New Hartford told me that all the Fleet Prides except for Danbury stopped doing them. Good to know.
Yeah- I have the same luck. The problem is that this seemed like the easy option from the get go- fits exactly where my current tranny is and...
I tried FleetPride last year and was told that they're out of the driveshaft business, sadly. I may have had some headway today. One of the AMC...
snoc653...I THINK I have that one now...it's 1.5" seal/shaft diameter. My thought was to pull out the seal and see if the splines fit...the one I...
Well...I'm still defeated. I worked on finding this damn thing for 7 hours today and I am only MARGINALLY further along in that a couple of AMC...
