Ok. So now the question is, does anyone have the correct cluster gear so I can repair mine correctly? And does anyone need a 49-50 Ford 3 speed...
So in hopes to rebuild my original transmission (attached bellhousing BW 3 speed w/ overdrive) in my 1950 Mercury, I bought a 49-50 transmission...
If you are looking to break records or necks with a flathead, you better be in a tiny roadster or a rail. Otherwise, flatties look/sound/feel...

Did it have headers already? Or was it just the manifold split into 2 in the back?
You will be so happy with the sound! I still get people asking how I got that sound. I did have to cut a whole through the frame on drivers side...
