They are huge, wont work or look right on your little pickup.
They still work great in my '40 coupe. I Just add a little air tool oil every 5 or 10 years.
I think if they are the same wheelbase, it should work. Might have to work out the cab mounts.

Wouldn't a '53 use a Carter B & B ? Mine did. Easy carb to rebuild.
It looks like it could be off a tractor, they would be smaller diameter and have a heavy base.
