    Actually, i can see that now. What has put me off is the grill itself which is not the heavy pot metal lasalle item, but must be an aftermarket...

    La Salle was my first guess. However they mount headlights to the side of the shell. This has no sign of that. Olds is miles off !

    Anybody ID this pre war GRILLE SHELL. Paint is black, and cant see that it has been any other color. Grill inner measures approx 30" Any help...

    Projects My 49 Buick sedanette build

    Cool thread. My '48 runs SBC TH350 and 10 bolt. I ran the straight 8 for 6-7 years but parts were so expensive ! No bags though.........not yet !
