I tried a voltage inverter on my 55' Ford. 6 to 12 hooked up my tach and it didn't work right, needle jumped all over the place. BUT I was only 18...
All 6 volt Fords were positive ground. Ford changed to 12 volt negative ground in 56'.
Looks like a good truck. Should be fun. I wanna get another. Someday... Try to keep the ol' Y-block, if your good to them they'll be good to you.
